Homelessness Among Elders Summit- FREE EVENT

This half-day summit is an opportunity for elder and homeless service providers from the South Coast and the Cape and the Islands (Bristol, Barnstable, Duke, and Nantucket Counties) to hear firsthand from the Secretary of Elder Affairs, Alice F. Bonner, on the Commonwealth’s vision for addressing the alarming and escalating crisis of elder homelessness. In addition to hearing from Secretary Bonner, there will be a presentation on the latest housing and homelessness statistics impacting persons over 50 years of age. The morning will also include a panel discussion of some of the 'real' challenges happening in this region plus an opportunity for in-depth discussions on some of the more pressing issues.
